Discovery Channel Launches Second Screen App

Discovery Networks International has launched a social second screen app that complements its TV shows and that integrates Facebook and Twitter. The app offers extra information about the shows while prompting viewers to post or tweet about the shows. Viewers can enter to have their messages appear on TV. The app, called SocialTV, first debuted in the Latin America market in conjunction with the show “Say Yes to the Dress.”
