Microsoft Already Has Windows 8 Updates to Download

Microsoft already has Windows 8 updates ready for downloading
as soon as Windows 8 PCs and tablets start shipping on October
26. It said they increase battery life, improve audio and
video playback, increase app and Start screen performance plus
enhance application and driver compatibility. It did not say
whether or how many are fixes as opposed to enhancements.
Microsoft said it has a new update process that gets them to
users sooner — but, it’s hoped, won’t be needed as often.
