Google Spreads the Nexus Approval Seal to Sony

The next Google Nexus device is reported to be coming from
Sony Mobile, which may be readying a “Nexus X” smartphone and
a tablet may follow, according to Wireless Watch. Prior
versions of Google’s “most favored” Nexus imprint have been
HTC, Asus, LG and Samsung. ZTE is rumored to be a future Nexus
designee, but so far not the Google-owned Motorola Mobility.
It’s a sign that Google may be moving away from making its own
branded devices at exactly the same time that Microsoft is
moving toward that strategy with its Surface tablets.
