Hulu Gets Hip, Adds Kid’s Section

Hulu has finally added a kid content section, called Hulu
Kids, to the library available to its Plus members. The
children’s content has its own Web site. The content is ad-
free and grouped into topics such as dinosaurs, for easy
navigation. Shows available include “Dinosaur Train,”
“Barney,” “Bob the Builder” and “Caillou.”

NARR8 Launches Interactive Content App for iPad

Interactive media app company NARR8 has launched a new, free
iPad app that delivers exclusive episodic content to the
device. The company calls itself a digital content channel.

The app offers a range of interactive media, such as “motion
comics,” interactive novels, nonfiction books and games. “It
is no secret that the digital landscape is changing at a rapid
pace, especially with regards to multimedia content,” said
founder Alexander Vashchenko. “NARR8 was designed to help
evolve and shape the future of digital entertainment

The content is available in both English and Russian
languages, and the company said it plans to add more languages
to the app next year. An Android version will be released in
early 2013.
