New Content Announced for UltraViolet-enabled Nook Tablet

Barnes & Noble’s digital video store will now offer content
from 20th Century Fox and NBCUniversal. Under the new content
deal, Nook Video will offer titles such as “Snow White and the
Huntsmen,” “Battleship,” Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax,” “Ice Age:
Continental Drift” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.” Nook
Video launched with the Nook HD tablet launch earlier this
month and already offers HD movies and TV shows from HBO, Sony
Pictures, Viacom, Starz, Disney and Warner Bros. The tablets
allow customers to connect to UltraViolet using the Nook
Cloud. “The cloud based service integrated with UltraViolet
really increases the value proposition of digital media,” said
Michael Bonner, EVP of product development and strategy at
NBCUniversal’s digital distribution.
