Nielsen: Online Video Gets Boost From NFL
Over 160 million Americans watched online video during the
month of September, according to Nielsen’s latest ratings.
Though that’s a decline from August’s 164 million online video
viewers, sports content site showed strong growth during the
month of September, which coincides with the beginning of the
NFL season. The ESPN Digital Network site added three million
unique viewers during the month. Americans spent close to
seven hours total watching content online, and streamed 26
billion videos total during the month.
