TiVo Lands Cable ONE for Software & Services

Cable ONE’s 740,000 plus customers in 19 states will be able
to use TiVo’s software on any new DVR they get from it,
starting in the first half of 2013. Cable One, the US’ tenth
largest cableco, will roll out the new TiVo software and
services throughout its footprint in 2013.

TiVo’s whole-home solution gives subscribers access to Cable
ONE’s linear TV catalog, DVR recordings and IP-based over-the-
top and VOD on any viewing device —DVRs, IP STBs, tablets and

Virgin Media in the UK has had tremendous acceptance of the
TiVo software and services by its subscribers.

David Sandford, VP and general manager of TiVo’s service
provider business, said that like many cablecos around the
globe Cable ONE is in a fiercely competitive market so it
understands the necessity to provide a compelling and
modernized television viewing experience.

Jerry McKenna, SVP and chief sales and marketing officer at
Cable ONE, said, “TiVo’s multi-platform solution allows Cable
ONE to simultaneously deliver existing QAM linear TV and next
generation IP on-demand video experiences.”
