BBC Launches Connected Red Button on TiVo

BBC Launches Connected Red Button on TiVo

BBC has launched a new, Internet-enabled version of its Red
Button on TiVo for Virgin Media subscribers. The button
aggregates content from a number of other BBC and iPlayer
apps, and presents it the viewer in a simple overlay on the TV
screen. The button offers programming suggestions from iPlayer
and curated lists of online content, including sports, news
and weather from BBC. The recommended video lists are tailored
to what’s airing on linear TV by the programmers themselves,
and push related content to the viewer. The Connected Red
Button will become available to Freeview, Freesat, BT Vision
and YouView subscribers next year.
