The news agency Reuters has announced plans to create a new video news platform for US newspapers, magazines and radio stations, partnering with News Distribution Network (NDN) for the service. Initially, the companies said the service will deliver licensed video content from partners including CBS News and E! Entertainment to Reuters’ existing customers for free. The content will be ad-supported, with Reuters, NDN and the content providers all splitting the revenues. The companies have not said where the new service will be available — either an existing Reuters site or at a new creation — nor have they specified a complete content provider list. They simply said it will include "newspaper, magazine and radio outlets" that provide "professional video across top-level categories including news, business, sports, entertainment and lifestyle." |
