Nearly 1.3 million people streamed a live Web video feed of Obama’s State of the Union address last week. The speech was available on a variety of Web sites and blogs, including video giant YouTube. The White House has so far been unable to determine how many people watched the speech on its new iPhone app, but it did say that "nearly a terabyte of data was served to iPhones" during the event. Following the speech, roughly 50,000 Facebook users watched and took part in a live chat on Facebook with administration officials. |
