| MyTelly HD, the Media Server with Everything but the Kitchen Sink
Interact-TV has a snazzy-looking Linux-based media server called
MyTelly HD that, in addition to a long list of media server
features, also supports high-definition video. It's got HD 720p and
480i component video output, gigabit Ethernet and upscales all video
and DVDs to full HD resolution.
The $899 unit functions as a DVR with no monthly subscription to
pay.
It also comes with no fans because of its passive cooling system
(hello, Dell!).
There's up to a 400GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, dual-layer DVD
burner, six-channel audio, component/S-Video/composite outs, NTSC TV
tuner, IR trackball remote, optional wireless keyboard, gigabit
Ethernet, FireWire and USB 2.0.
The unit plays back and saves DVDs, looks up DVD cover art and
metadata, burns recorded TV shows to DVD, imports video files from a
networked PC and plays AVI, DivX, MPEG1/2/3/4, WMV, JPEG, Cinepak,
DV, QuickTime, RealMedia, H.263 and H.264 formats.
There's also an audio/photo management system and one-touch
recording of the DVR. |
